Write Up:
I started my driving career with a 1988 BMW 325 super eta. What a great car that was for a 16 year old to begin a European addiction with. I "modded" that car to its death (literally). So in 2004, I went car shopping. Volvo was the first place I went because I had seen the new body style and fell in love. It had smooth lines and a 5 cyl. to go along with it (I'd never heard of a 5 cyl before, lol). Since I wasn't going to be paying for the car myself, I was stuck with getting an Automatic and I sure couldn't fork out for the T5... but hey, I can still turn heads every now and then. The car has been a blast to drive, especially when the cutout is open, and I look forward to the day when I can transplant an S60R engine in it with a 6spd! Haha!

I want to thank Rich for the honor of being featured and all you guys too! I look forward to what S40forums will become in the future!

Enjoy

Rich :)

Very nice car! Its funny about BMW's. I always wanted one but in my area they are thick so I was drawn to the s40. I still ove the 3 series but have had friends have so much trouble with them so I am so relieved I have the s40. Congrats, and keep us looped on all your future projects!

my friend ordered two QTP 2.5's for his 5.0 Mustang. It's the shiz. It sounds badass now between the cutouts, larger cam, and all the forged internals...beastly!

I love the cutout..... My first car was a chevy tahoe but I never truly liked it and eventually I was able to get my dream car, S40 T5 AW. My next mod I'm saving for is an electronic cutout. Im trying to keep my car as sleeper as possible and that also means how loud it is but I want to be able to open it randomly and have some fun!! What do you think are the best cutout options?
